Last Saturday in March we have decided again in Vratna dolina, that we will continue to farther Chopok. We took seats in our car and our group continue with pleasant singing to Nizke Tatry. We hope for better skiing conditions. We bought all day ticket for lifts – 22 EUR and we enjoyed great offpiste skiing. Girls weared avalanche beacons with some protests, but beacons were for nothing as almost half of slopes were closen due to bad weather conditions in Jasna.
Polite skier were skiing, whereas I tried to injure myself hardly
Summit two person chairlift was working, so we mostly skied in strong fog between Rovna Hola and Konsky Grun, where the snow was excellent and there were no people at all. All the day we tried to do as much as possible falls on skis.

Both our girls – Klara and Veronika – mutually crashed when parallel skiing. In one moment they made turn on themselves and just rided to crash. Not only by skis, but also by heads. Tomas Certik was to fast on jumping in snow park, so he continued in air far away from official landing area.

The greatest drop of the season was realized by me. From bottom station of two-seats chairlift was bad visibility. I wanted to do long jump from traverse road between 4chairlitf and 2chairlift. First 360 degree rotation somewhere to fog was landed on edge. My second attempt was bad, as I was too fast with raiding on and bad bounce, so I fly backward about 12 meters from the road. I tried to land in backward position. With coming to Earth I have realized that landing will not be good. I totally landed on tips of skis under the angle 15 deg.
Landing at Chopok was worser
I managed to close my eyes and put hands in front of my face. Hit was quite strong, and immediately both bindings were released. One ski bumped into my fatal point, see Pozor na webkamery na lyžích – Velký Bratr Vás vidí. Instead of my painful intim point and forced down legs I was ok, and all others alived too.
Finally, skiing was great and the road home was also pleasant. We only twice visited Liptovský Mikuláš due to my troubles with orientation.
